THE weather bureau said moderate to heavy rains fell, brought about by a low pressure area east of southern Luzon.
In Metro Cebu, rainfall was about 30 millimeters from 1:40 p.m. to 5 p.m.
As of 5 p.m, 23.7 mm of rain fell and was expected to reach at 30 mm, said Engr. Oscar Tabada of Pagasa Mactan.
According to Pagasa’s Project Noah (National Operational Assessment of Hazards), rainfall reached torrential levels from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
The highest downpour was registered at 2:30 which was equivalent to 11 mm.
Rainfall in Metro Cebu ceased at 9 p.m. as the band of rain clouds moved north of the island province.
