Titans advance to southern finals
THE TELETECH Titans booked a finals ticket in the southern conference after posting a 79-68 win over the Lexmark Stallions in Game 2 of their best-of-three semifinals series of the 2012 Sun Cellular E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
The Titans, who won Game 1, 50-47, sealed the sweep behind the deadly duo of Sherwin Emanuelle Resilla and Lourenz Limpangog.
Resilla tallied 19 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks, while Limpangog canned in 18 points.
In the other southern conference semis duel, the Sykes Pioneers grabbed a 1-0 series lead with a 68-56 dismantling of the Odusee Rooz.
Reggy Sultan paced Sykes with 12 points and six rebounds, while O’Neil Sahilan added 10 points, six assists and four steals.
In the northern conference, the three-time champions Convergys Wolves displayed a never-say-die spirit, staving off early elimination via a 57-44 trouncing of defending champion Stream Ingenyouity.
