4 Manila cops accused of kidnapping face raps
Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim ordered the other day the filing of administrative charges and the conduct of summary dismissal proceedings against four city policemen accused of abducting a businessman in Pasig City.
At the same time, Lim directed Manila Police District Station 8 chief Supertintendent Frumencio Bernal to identify the civilian cohorts of Police Officer2 Luisito Gutierrez and Police Officers 1 Anthony Fernandez, Paulo Levin Nerviza and Wilfredo Cinco.
The four were charged with kidnap for ransom, robbery and violation of the antigraft and corrupt practices act based on the complaint filed by Niel Hayuhay, 62, who said they took his keys and robbed his house in Pasig City on Aug. 24 with four other men. Erika Sauler
