Shallow low pressure area intensifies into LPA off Bicol–Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.

A shallow low pressure area off Bicol region has intensified into a low pressure area,the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.

The LPA was last spotted 460 kilometers east of Bicol region.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country including Metro Manila, will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the southwest will prevail over Luzon and coming from the south to southwest over Visayas and Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate, Pagasa said.
