Tejero fire victims receive assistance

A TOTAL of 207 families affected by the recent fire in barangay Tejero received assistance from the Visayan Electric Co. (Veco).

Each of the beneficiaries received a bag  containing three kilos of rice, canned goods and noodles.

Fourteen Veco team leaders and volunteers distributed the goods at the Tejero sports complex.

Eric Ching, Veco community relations manager, said in his message during the distribution ceremony that “Veco sheds light to every household and shares its blessings to the fire victims.”

He reminded the beneficiaries to be always vigilant about using electricity. He also told them to report to the Veco office individuals involved in illegal wiretapping in their area to avoid calamities such as fire.
