THE SAN BEDA Red Lions reaffirmed their mastery over the Letran Knights as they defeated their bitter rivals, 68-62, in the 88th NCAA men’s basketball tournament last Saturday night at the Arena in San Juan City.
The win gave the Red Lions a 10-2 (win-loss) record, for top spot in the league. It was also their 13th straight win over the Knights, a streak that dates way back to 2007. The defeat evened Letran’s record out at 6-6 as the Knights continue to pursuit a spot in the Final Four.
