Body fished out of Pasig River
MANILA, Philippines – The body of a man was found floating in Pasig River along Manila early Friday, police said.
Senior Police Officer 1 Charles Duran said the still unidentified victim was recovered near Plaza Mexico in Intramuros, Manila around 6:10 a.m.
The victim was from 40 to 45 years old, 5’5″ to 5’7″ in height and wearing a green t-shirt and short pants, Duran said.
John Gabia, a call center agent, was said to have discovered the body, which he and nearby residents fished out before reporting to authorities, the investigator said.
“Cursory examination on the corpse revealed no external injury,” Duran said but added that the case has been placed under investigation.
