Lee daughter linked to scam

Divine Lee

Divine Lee, the socialite daughter of fugitive real estate developer Delfin Lee, is the CEO and a board director of the  Globe Asiatique Tower 2 Condominium in Mandaluyong City, documents obtained by the Philippine Daily Inquirer show.

Lee denied being an officer of the realty firm after buyers of GA Tower 2 units filed complaints with the Pag-Ibig Fund (or the Home Development Mutual Fund) accusing the company of “double-selling” their units at the Edsa condomium.

However, in a general information sheet at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Divine Lee was listed as the CEO of the GA Tower 2.

Lee was also named as one of directors and incorporators of the condominium in the documents submitted by the realty firm to the SEC on March 18, 2010.

The other board directors listed were Lee’s father Delfin as president, her brother Dexter as corporate secretary, Ma. Celina F. Cano and Fernandina B. Enage.

In the complaints they filed with Pag-Ibig, two buyers of GA Tower 2 units said their units were in the names of other people who had taken out loans from Pag-Ibig.

They want Pag-Ibig to charge the GA Tower 2 officers and board directors, including Divine Lee, with syndicated estafa.

The complainants said that based on the incorporation papers that the firm submitted to the SEC, Lee as an officer of the condominium corporation was responsible for the management and operations of  the building. Nancy C. Carvajal
