4 killed in family feud in North Cotabato
MANILA, Philippines–Four persons were killed while three others were wounded in a family feud in North Cotabato Monday, the military said.
Lieutenant Colonel Roy Galido, commander of the Army’s 40th Infantry Battalion, said the feud involved the Manangca and Celeste families in Guiling village in Alamada town.
The ambush was said to be initiated by the Manalangca group.
A police report said that almost 300 families were affected and some individuals were evacuated to Banislan village center.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
The mayor of Alamada is heading the crisis group to prevent the escalation of conflict.
