MANILA, Philippines – Folk singer and musician Freddie Aguilar lost $12,000 cash stashed in a vault in his Quezon City home to a mysterious thief who left the vault’s combination lock intact.

The theft was only discovered on Sunday afternoon at the Aguilar household on Avery Street, Barangay North Fairview.

Fairview police commander Superintendent Virgilio Fabian said the money was last seen inside a vault at the master bedroom.

“Mr. Aguilar believes it is an inside job,” Fabian said, adding that only someone with access to the vault aside from the singer can open it.
