OWWA offers scholarship to low income OFWs

THE Overseas Workers Welfare Administration in Central Visayas (OWWA-7) is accepting applications for the Congressional Migrant Workers Scholarship Program (CMWSP) for next school year.

The program is offered to dependents of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who wish to pursue a  4-5 year college degree course in the field of science and technology at any Commission on Higher Education (CHEd)-accredited colleges or universities.

Qualified applicants will receive  financial assistance of P30,000 per semester.

To qualify, an OFW should have a gross annual income of not more than $6,780 or $565 per month.

FEATURED STORIES

The national qualifying exam will be administered by the Department of Science and Technology.

The deadline for submission of application is Aug. 31.
