4 hurt as bikes hit truck beating red light

Four security guards were injured after their motorcycles rammed into a speeding dump truck that was trying to beat the red light past midnight Saturday in Quezon City.

Police identified the victims as Richard Balicao, 30; Eduardito Alonsagay, 33; Jorge Mancao, 31; and Winston Factoleran, 30.

They all suffered broken bones and were rushed to East Avenue Medical Center, where Balicao remained in critical condition at press time.

Traffic investigator SPO1 Edgardo Talacay said the men were riding in pairs when the accident occurred at around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Katipunan and Commonwealth avenues in Barangay Old Balara.
