Faigao writers workshop open for applications
THE Cebuano Studies Center announced the opening of its 2011 Fellowship competition.
The center awards around 15 creative writing fellowships to the Cornelio Faigao Memorial Annual Writers Workshop every October.
The Faigao workshop is open for applications until Aug. 30. Applicants may submit seven poems, a short story or a one-act play in either English or Cebuano.
Entries must be typed in double space, Arial or New Times Roman font size 12 with 1 inch margin on both sides. Entries must not bear the name of the author.
However, the author must submit, along with the entries, on CD a soft copy encoded in MS Word, his resume with 2×2 photo and application letter.
Applicants must explain why they want to become a writer. Writing samples will not be returned.
