Ginebra sends Miller to Air21

Former two-time MVP Willie  Miller is on his way once again to another team after he was traded to Air21 in exchange for KG Canaleta.

Barangay Ginebra also got Air 21’s 2012 first round draft pick that was acquired from Powerade in a trade involving Sean Michael Anthony and Ren Ren Ritualo in 2010.

Miller has reportedly been unhappy with his playing time with the Barangay Ginebra Kings since being acquired from Alaska in exchange for Cyrus Baguio last season.

With a crowded backcourt that  features Mark Caguioa, Mike Cortez, and the comebacking Jayjay Helterbrand, Ginebra head coach Jong Uichico said that he just could not give Miller the time he wants.

Miller won’t be seeing action for Air 21 at least until the next conference since the Express have already played their last game in the Governors’ Cup and are out of contention. Air 21 finished the tournament winless with eight losses.

“Gusto ko lang naman lumaro eh. Hindi na ako ginagamit. So ano ibig sabihin nun?” said Miller during the same radio interview.

Asked if this will be indeed be his last stop in the league, Miller said in jest that maybe he could try playing for all the teams in the PBA.  “Ewan ko ba, iikutin ko yata yung lahat ng team sa PBA. Lima na lang kulang ko grand slam na,” he said. /with reports from pba media bureau
