Fire raging in Parañaque neighborhood
MANILA, Philippines—A fire of still undetermined origin is raging at a residential area in Parañaque City, according to the city’s fire department.
A radio operator of the city fire station said the blaze was detected at 3:26 p.m. at a residential compound in Ilaya Yagit, Barangay (village) Sto. Nino, Parañaque City.
Parañaque fire marshal Superintendent Manuel Manuel sounded a general alarm at 4:28 p.m. A general alarm requires all available fire engines to come to the site and assist.
Five fire trucks have been deployed to the area, said the Bureau of Fire Protection.
No information was immediately available as of 4:40 p.m. as to how extensive the fire was or how many people were displaced.
