Presidential Undersecretary Manolo Quezon III, in a Malacañang briefing on Wednesday, however, said that the specifics on the said transfer to Malacañang, and whether this would be open to public, would be disclosed in a separate bulletin.

Quezon added that all forms of national recognition, and the highest possible honors and tributes, were being considered but that “these should be done tactfully and in consultation” with Robredo’s family.

President Benigno Aquino III on Tuesday night also signed Proclamation No. 460, proclaiming for a period of six days starting Wednesday the Days of National Mourning for Robredo.

Meanwhile, Naga City Vice Mayor Gabriel Bordado in a radio report said the local government of Naga came up with two resolutions, one expressing their condolences to Robredo’s family, and the other declaring May 27 as the Jesse Robredo Day.

Robredo was born on May 27, 1958 in Naga City.
