THE SACRED Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu Magis Eagles Passerelle team underscored their bid for a sixth straight title in the Cebu eliminations of the Milo-backed BEST Twin Tournament as they destroyed the University of San Jose-Recoletos, 71-17, yesterday at the SHS-AdC basketball courts along Mango Avenue.

Forward Arnie Padilla, the son of former PBA player Onie, matched USJ-R’s entire output for the game with 17 points.

Making the feat even more impressive was the fact that he did it in just the first period, where the Eagles set the tone for the blowout by erecting a 31-2 lead.  Jair Igna also waxed hot in that stretch with nine markers.
