The body of a 37-year-old woman who was nine months pregnant was found hanging from the ceiling of the house she shared with her live-in partner in Binondo, Manila, on Sunday night.

The police, however, said that the victim, Lorena Homeres, had apparently killed herself after she suspected her partner, Romulo Odang, of having an affair.

Homeres’ body was found by her son at 9:30 p.m. inside their house at Parola Compound.

An investigation showed that Homeres and her live-in partner fought earlier that day after she suspected him of having an affair with another woman.

The victim’s parents claimed that there was foul play in her death but there was no sign of physical injuries aside from the bruising caused by the wire tied around her neck.
