Faigao writers workshop open for submissions

THE Cebuano Studies Center announced the opening of its 2012 Fellowship competition.

The center awards 15 creative writing fellowships to the Cornelio Faigao memorial annual writers workshop every November.

The Faigao workshop is open for submissions from Aug. 15 to Sept. 30.

Mailed submissions must be postmarked Sept. 30 to be eligible for screening.

FEATURED STORIES

Applicants may submit a total of seven poems, a short story or a one-act play in either English or Cebuano.

Writing samples will not be returned.

Entries must be typed double spaced in Arial or New Times Roman font size 12 with 1” margin on all sides.

Entries must not bear the name of the author.

A soft copy encoded in Microsoft Word on CD, resume with 2×2 photo and an application letter stating participant’s interest to become a writer and his/her background may be submitted to Cornelio Faigao Memorial Annual Writers Workshop, University of San Carlos Cebuano Studies Center on P. del Rosario Street, Cebu City or online to [email protected] or to [email protected].
