Two bakeshop employees were tied up by two armed men who robbed the establishment in Quezon City of P9,000 in cash.
Police investigators noted that the robbers both wore pants which resembled those worn by security guards.
Quezon City Police District Galas station commander Superintendent Norberto Babagay said that the robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the branch of a well-known bakeshop at the corner of E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue and Victoria Street in New Manila.
He added that cashier Christina Gomez was manning the register while her coworker, Jayson Teston, was waiting for customers when two men, both clad in black jackets and ball caps, entered the bakeshop.
When Teston attended to the duo, the two took out guns, tied up the two employees before taking the money from the cash register. They then fled. Babagay pointed out that the bakeshop did not have a security guard, making it easy for the robbers to pull the heist. Jeannette I. Andrade
