MANILA, Philippines—Two armed men robbed a bakeshop of P9,000 in cash on Sunday in Quezon City.

Superintendent Norberto Babagay, chief of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Galas station, said that the robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, in a bakeshop at the corner of E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue and Victoria Street in New Manila.

Babagay disclosed that 25-year-old cashier Christina Gomez was manning the register while her co-worker Jayson Teston, 27, was busy cleaning up when two men, both clad in black jackets and ball caps, barged into the store.

The robbers brandished a .45 pistol and a .38-cal. revolver and ordered Gomez to fork over the cash. The two men immediately fled after the heist.
