Plane crash survivor is a new father

MANILA, Philippines – The  survivor of the ill-fated  Piper Seneca plane that  crashed  in the waters off Masbate Saturday afternoon is a new father to  a  9-day-old  baby,  Transportation  Secretary  Manuel “Mar” Roxas said.

Roxas said Interior Secretary   Jesse Robredo’s aide,   P/Senior Insp. Jun Abrazado sustained  minor injuries but was still placed under neurological  observation.

“Abrazado (is) conscious with a few injuries (although)  none visibly serious. Both arms (are) in slings but (there is) no blood, no bandages,” Roxas said.

“(He is) under neurological observation by doctors because he lost consciousness yesterday. He’s also a new father (to a) 9-day -old child,” he added.

Robredo and the two pilots, who were also onboard the plane,  remained missing.
