MANILA, Philippines—Immigration Commissioner Ricardo David issued Wednesday a directive to all airports and seaports to be on alert following the report that convicted road rage killer Rolito Go has gone missing from the New Bilibid Prisons since Tuesday evening.

“Commissioner David issued a directive to all airports and seaports to be on alert for Rolito Go in case he attempts to depart,” Immigration Spokesperson Maria Antonette Mangrobang said in a text message.

Go, his nephew and his nurse have gone missing since Tuesday night. His family said they managed to talk to the two this morning and said that their abductors are asking for a P1-million ransom.

New Bilibid Prison Superintendent Richard Schwarskopf Jr. said they still consider Go as an escapee.

Go has managed to escape detention twice several years ago.

Go was last seen at Ina ng Awa Church inside the NBP. The convict is suffering from colon cancer and according to Schwarskopf, Go is set to be released in June 2013.
