Supreme Court sets aside P250M for repairs of 78 courthouses

MANILA, Philippines—The Supreme Court on Wednesday announced that it has set aside more than P250 million for the repair of various Halls of Justice in 78 courthouses nationwide.

 
Acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio approved the release of the P251,360,686.57 sourced from the current regular appropriations of the Court under the General Appropriations Act for Fiscal Year 2012.

 
Carpio, in a statement said the construction of modern Halls of Justice is an integral part of the Court’s Judicial Reform Program, undertaken with the assistance of the World Bank.
