Cecilia Lagman passes away; 92

MANILA, Philippines – Cecilia Lagman, mother of Albay Representative Edcel Lagman, passed away on Monday due to multiple organ failure.

She was 92.

Cecilia was the first chairperson of the Families of Victims of Involuntary Disappearance (FIND). She was also the mother of labor leader Filemon Lagman, who was killed in 200, and activists lawyer Hermon Lagman, who disappeared during martial law.

She is survived by her three remaining children: Congressman Edcel Lagman; Nilda Lagman, incumbent chair of FIND; and Evita Lagman-Tresvalles.

Her wake will be at the Arlington Memorial Chapels along Araneta Avenue in Quezon City, according to the Albay lawmaker.

Interment will be on Saturday at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.
