MANILA, Philippines—Ma. Josefa Emboltura Diez, a former high school music teacher at University of Santo Tomas, died of cancer on Aug. 9 in Quezon City. She was 69.
She is survived by her children Hazel, Frederick, Kristoffer and John Paul, her grandchildren, siblings and in-laws.

Her body lies at Loyola Memorial Chapels and Crematorium, Commonwealth Avenue corner Damayan Street, Old Balara, Quezon City, where a Mass will be offered on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m.
On Aug. 14, her remains will be flown to her hometown of San Joaquin, Iloilo, where a wake will be held until Aug. 18 to be followed by the funeral at the San Joaquin Cemetery at 2 p.m.
