Air21 tries to avoid winless conference

THE TALK ‘N TEXT Tropang Texters and the Air21 Express are poles apart in the standings with the former part of the six-team semifinal cast and the latter one of the three teams already out of contention.
The two squads play their final elimination- round games in the 36th PBA Governors’ Cup today at the Araneta Coliseum.
The Texters lead the standings with a 5-2 (win-loss) slate and getting another win will be crucial since the semifinalists’ elimination-round records will be carried to the semifinals.
Article continues after this advertisementAside from the Texters, the other semifinalists are the Petron Blaze Boosters, Alaska Aces, Barangay Ginebra Kings, B-Meg Llamados and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.

While Talk ‘N Text is looking to improve their standing going into the semis, it will be a matter of pride for the Express, who are avoiding a winless conference.
