2 running events fire off today
THE China Bank Fun Run 2011 and the Fit and Fab Run of the Gaisano Country Mall will start simultaneously today at separate venues.
The China Bank run is set to start at the Cebu Business Park while the Fit and Fab run kicks off at the Gaisano Country Mall in brgy. Banilad, Cebu City.
The China Bank run will have 3k, 6k and 12k categories. It is part of the celebration of China Bank’s six decades of service. Proceeds of the race will go to ABS-CBN’s Tabang Patrol.
The Fit and Fab run will have 3k, 7k and 15k categories. It aims to promote the Gaisano Country Mall, which was one of the first malls in the city. Part of the event’s proceeds will be used for mass feeding and other charitable projects.
The 15k champions in the Fit and Fab Run will receive P4,000 plus P4,000 worth of gift certificates. 7k top placers will win P2,500 and P2,500 worth of gift checks while 3k winners will receive P2,000 and P1,500 worth of gift checks.
The top runners in the 12K of the China Bank run will get P7,000 while the winners in the 6K and 3K will get P3,000 and P2,000, respectively. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
