MANILA, Philippines – Central Luzon’s death toll from three days of sustained rains and massive floods has reached 19, the Office of Civil Defense in Region 3 said Thursday.
In its latest report, Bataan has five fatalities, Bulacan listed seven deaths and Pampanga recorded six deaths.
This report has yet to be verified by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, as its official count for Central Luzon still stood at four.
Meanwhile, 334,748 families or 1,481,368 were affected in 954 villages of six provinces in Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac and Zambales.
Bulacan, Bataan, Pampanga and Zambales were placed under state of calamity.
The report said 594 villages were swamped with floods in Central Luzon.
