Family of 4 repeatedly stabbed to death in Isabela
MANILA, Philippines – A family of four were repeatedly stabbed to death by a lone suspect in Isabela Wednesday night, police said Thursday.
The fatalities were identified as mother Annabel Bartolome, 32, her two children Ana Isabel Bartolome, 8 and Ninon Bartolome, 11, and her niece Junabel Martines, 14.
Officer on case Senior Police Officer 4 (SPO 4) Rodante Sinuto told reporters in a phone interview Thursday that according to autopsy report, Junabel was stabbed 55 times, Annabel 36 times, Ana Isabel 20 times in the head and body, and Ninon nine times also in the head and body.
The police have in their custody the primary suspect, Angelito Ramos. Residents in the area said Ramos had previously visited Annabel Bartolome’s house and had quarrelled with the woman
Ramos, who has a family in San Francisco, Cauayan City, and Annabel, who was believed to be separated from her husband, were said to be live-in partners, Sinuto said.
The incident occurred between 10 p.m. of Wednesday and 3 a.m. of Thursday in San Lorenzo Subdivision Barangay (Village) Marabulig 1, Sinuto said.
