Aquino supports enactment of FOI Bill but issues no marching orders—Coloma

MANILA, Philippines—Although President Benigno Aquino III wanted the Freedom of Information Bill enacted, Presidential Communications Operations Office Secretary Herminio Coloma on Thursday said there were no marching orders coming from the chief executive.

When asked during the hearing on the PCOO’s proposed budget for next year, Coloma assured that Aquino supported proposed substitute FOI bill filed by Deputy Speaker Lorenzo Tañada III.
