MANILA, Philippines–Water levels at Sto Nino water station or Marikina river went down a bit after a brief respite from incessant rains Thursday morning but was still within the critical 20-meter mark.
As of 8:30 a.m., water level from Marikina river was at 20.2 meters above sea level, after reaching as high as 20.37 meters above sea level a few hours earlier, as per reports from the Twitter accounts of Marikina Public Information Office and Mahar Lagmay of Project Noah (Nationwide Operational Assessment Hazards).
There were more than 40,000 evacuees in Marikina as of 12 midnight.
