BMEG bags Shaba crown

THE BMEG Llamados captured the championship in Division 1 after sweeping the best-of-three finals series with a, 70-58 win in Game 2 over the Cebu Vet Doctors in the University of San Carlos Boys High Alumni Basketball Association last Sunday at the USC North gym.

 
Former pro, Lou Regidor, once again led the way with 25 points while Bing Pua chipped in 12 points. The Division 1 champions will now await the winner of Division 2 finals series which Mapfre Insular currently leads, 1-0, after it defeated reigning champions, Yayoy’s Grill and Resto Bar, 86-79, in Game 1.

 
Five players scored double digits for the winning team led by current M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Ninos guard, Giovanni Padillo, who had 16. Michael Bucayan tallied 14 while Kevin Jake Arriesgado scored 13.  /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
