MANILA, Philippines—Deliberations on the proposed 2013 national budget is set to continue Thursday at the House of Representatives.
House Public Relations and Information Bureau executive director Bernadette dela Cuesta said that the committee on appropriations would scrutinize the budget for departments scheduled for a hearing on that day.
Funding for the Presidential Communications Operations Office and the Department of Justice are scheduled for Thursday.
Dela Cuesta said that the said committee would also release a revised schedule to accommodate agencies whose budget hearings were postponed due to bad weather. Funding for the Department of Energy and the Department of Labor and Employment were initially scheduled Tuesday while the Department of Tourism and the Judiciary were scheduled Wednesday.
Staff of the House of Representatives resumed work Wednesday.
