Quezon City suspends classes up to high school until Friday

MANILA, Philippines—Quezon City has suspended classes in kinder, elementary and high schools, both public and private, for Thursday and Friday.

Mayor Herbert M. Bautista made the call due to heavy rains and due to the use of school facilities for evacuation and relief.

He urged the public to cooperate in government’s efforts to save lives.

“We, at Quezon City, are a resilient people and take this opportunity to return to normalcy under an atmosphere of cooperation,” the mayor said.
