Distressed hospitals, health centers can call DoH for emergency needs

/ 02:51 PM August 08, 2012

MANILA, Philippines—Hospitals and health centers needing emergency assistance can now contact the Department of Health, it announced Wednesday.

The DOH hotline numbers are: (02) 711-1001; (02) 921-6480; (0915) 772-5621.

At least two hospitals—the University of Santo Tomas Hospital and University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center—asked for help Tuesday after floodwaters inundated their ground floor areas and left them without electricity.
