Aquino visits Muntinlupa City, Kris in tow

MANILA, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino III and several cabinet members went to check on relief operations in Muntinlupa City, the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office said on Wednesday.

Using social microblogging site Twitter, the PCDSPO posted photos of the President meeting with evacuees and listening to updates from Department of Social Welfare and Development personnel in Tunasan, Muntinlupa City.

Aquino was accompanied by his celebrity-sister Kris Aquino, National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council executive director Benito Ramos, Transportation and Communications Secretary Mar Roxas, Aurora Representative Juan Edgardo Angara and former Akbayan Representative Risa Hontiveros.

Deputy Presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte announced over Twitter that the President will also be making rounds to inspect the conditions of evacuees in Marikina City and Quezon City.
