Flood and traffic updates in Metro Manila major roads

MANILA, Philippines — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and the traffic monitoring unit of Makati City on Wednesday continued to give updates on flooded areas which motorists should avoid as heavy rains continued to pound the metropolis and its neighboring provinces.

While the MMDA and Makati City Traffic through their Twitter accounts said that floods have subsided in routes such as Chino Roces from Don Bosco to Makati Square, N.Domingo to Gilmore, Quirino Avenue, Singalong Street, Taft Avenue, Roxas Boulevard and Edsa Muñoz, it warned that the following routes were still flooded as of posting time:

* E. Rodrigez-Araneta, Talayan-Araneta, Araneta Kaliraya and Araneta Maria Clara all not passable to all types of vehicles due to waist deep floodwater;

* Osmeña Highway: Gil Puyat (formerly Buendia) not passable;

* San Juan Area: F. Manalo Blumentrit, Brgy. Salapan, Rivera Street, A.Fernandez, R.Fernandez, San Joaquin, San Perpecto, Aurora SM Center Point are all not passable to all types of vehicles;

* Western: CM Recto-Rizal westbound (waist deep), Doroteo to Jose Soler (knee deep), RMD V.Mapa (waist deep). España, Manila City Hall, UN Taft, RMB Pureza, RMB Old Sta.Mesa, and Recto Underpass not passable to all types of vehicles.
