MANILA, Philippines—The Supreme Court has cancelled its special en banc Wednesday due to bad weather, high court acting spokesperson Gleo Guerra said in a text message.
Wednesday’s special en banc was supposed to tackle the disbarment complaint filed by anti-crime crusader Lauro Vizconde against acting Chief Justice Antonio Carpio.
In his complaint, Vizconde alleged that Carpio used his position to maneuver appointments in key positions in the government.
He also reiterated that Carpio allegedly influenced the high court into acquitting Hubert Webb and his co-accused in the murder of his wife and two daughters.
