Floodwater enters 2 QC shopping malls

MANILA, Philippines—Shopping malls, where residents of flood-prone areas flock during the onslaught of heavy rains, were not spared by massive floods Tuesday.

Radio reports said that floodwater has entered the lower levels of both SM North EDSA and Ayala Trinoma malls.

Some stores in the said malls have suspended work but the shopping malls themselves were still operating, the reports said.

Passengers were stranded at the bus and FX terminal outside SM North Edsa, which was devoid of vehicles as NLEX Balintawak has been rendered impassable by floods.
