Manila suspends afternoon classes from pre-school to high school

MANILA, Philippines – Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim on Monday ordered the suspension of afternoon classes in the city due to the bad weather since Sunday evening.

In a twitter post, Lim said afternoon classes from preschool to high school in public schools are now suspended, including classes in the Pamantasang Lungsod ng Maynila and City College of Manila for college students.

A similar announcement for private schools was left to the discretion of its administrators.
