MANILA, Philippines – The state weather bureau downgraded on Monday the rainfall warning from green to yellow in Metro Manila.
As of 10:30a.m., moderate to heavy rains were expected to affect Metro Manila within three hours, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa also alerted the public for possible flooding in low-lying areas and those located near river channels.
The incessant rains, while there is no tropical cyclone in the country, were caused by southwest monsoon, the bureau said.
