Aquino wants probe of PCSO funds use
CALAMBA CITY, Philippines—President Benigno Aquino on Friday said that he would ask to have the use of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office PR fund investigated.
Aquino said he would call PCSO chair Margie Juico to Malacañang in connection with the agency’s financial situation.
He added that he wants the PCSO to have sound financial footing in the wake of the agency’s arrears with government hospitals that is keeping it from effectively addressing the needs of indigent patients.
