Elpidio P. Tolentino; 73
MANILA, Philippines—Elpidio “Piding” P. Tolentino, former regional director for administration-Region IV of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, died on Aug. 2. He was 73.
Tolentino, a geodetic engineer, hailed from Gattaran, Cagayan. He served the government for 42 years until his retirement in 2003.
He is survived by wife of 50 years, veteran journalist Lilia “Mader” Tolentino; children Roy Stephen Tolentino, Dr. Ethelynda Jaojoco and Rachelle Paril; and grandchildren Angela Margaux and Troy Guiseppe Tolentino, Matthew and Mikey Jaojoco, and Mark Vincent and Nicole Beatrix Paril.
His remains lie at Funeraria Nacional on Araneta Avenue in Quezon City. Interment will be on Aug. 7 at Himlayang Pilipino Memorial Park in Tandang Sora, Quezon City.
