Wearing a yellow “Proud to be a Liberal” pin, actor Aga Muhlach on Friday took a plunge into politics, taking his oath as a member of the ruling Liberal Party and saying he was ready to take on the powerful Fuentebella clan of Camarines Sur.

Muhlach, Ariel Aquino Muhlach in real life, took his oath before LP president and Transportation Secretary Mar Roxas and other party bigwigs at the LP headquarters in Cubao, Quezon City.

“I’m ready for anything. If there’s a will, there’s a way,” Muhlach said after he took his oath.

“I’m 43 years old and I’m joining politics because I want to serve the people. I was impressed when P-Noy took over and banned the wangwang. I was impressed. It started there. I saw that change can really happen,” he added.
