MANILA,Philippines–Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim has yet to decide whether there is a need to suspend afternoon classes Wednesday amid rains that showered Manila brought by tropical storm Gener, a report from Radyo Inquirer 990AM said.

Lim was quoted as saying that morning classes shall continue while afternoon classes have yet to be decided by 10 a.m.

This move, however, gained negative feedbacks from Twitter users waiting for announcement of class suspension from the mayor.

@reyes_carnie said “kanina pa po kami nagaabang ng panawagan nio [niyo]  sa manila ibng lugar pati san juan na. malapit lang dito po samin suspendido na po.

@nottobenamed2 said “The rain start again, please suspen class in Manila, PUP Sta. Mesa. Flooded already please, we. ask in a good manner. So please.”

@mar_siy said “no classes please! Ang lakas ng ulan at hangin dito sa UST [University of Santo Tomas].”

Meanwhile, another user pleaded with an apparent humor: “Pinapangako ko. Pag sinuspend mo, mag aaral ako…sa bahay,” @sanaJOANNAkita said.

Lim is currently leading the wreath-laying ceremony for the third death anniversary of former President Corazon Aquino.
