CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines—A freshman at the San Beda College of Law in Manila died allegedly after undergoing initiation rites of a still unknown fraternity, the police in Cavite said Tuesday.
Supt. Ulysses Cruz, police chief of Dasmariñas City, identified the victim as Mark Andrei Marcos, 21.
Cruz said they received a report from the De La Salle University Medical Center in Dasmariñas City that a suspected victim of hazing was brought in by a group of young men in an unidentified car around 2 a.m. Monday.
He said the victim’s body was covered in bruises and he was in a comatose state. Marcos died in the hospital at around 5 p.m. Monday.
