MEXICO CITY — Prosecutors in northern Mexico say a man wearing a ski mask and carrying a gun robbed two theaters showing the Batman movie “The Dark Knight Rises.”

The spokesman for prosecutors in the border state of Chihuahua said Monday the man went to the ticket booths and demanded the ticket money. Spokesman Carlos Gonzalez said the man was dressed in black.

No injuries were reported in the Sunday robberies. The shows apparently went on.

Showings of the movie have been accompanied by heightened security concerns after a gunman opened fire in a theater in Colorado a little more than a week ago, killing 12 and injuring dozens.

Also recently, people were evacuated from a showing of “The Dark Knight Rises” in western Mexico after a fire broke out in a garbage container outside the theater.
