Bostolits takes lead

GRACE Bostolits drubbed Suran, 101-86, last Sunday for its fifth win in six games to share the lead with Mayupay in the ongoing Upper Bayanihan Catholic Association (UBCA) Camp-2012 basketball tournament at the Quiot Sports Complex.

Suran led, 30-22 in the opening period but Bostolits responded with a crushing, 44-17 run in the second for the lopsided win.

Toly Petiluna had 24 points, including six trifectas for Grace Bostolits while Roger Quitoy added 23 markers. Ace Dela Cerna paced Suran (3-3) with 16 points.

Earlier, Mayupay-ICC Pharmacy crushed winless OYAB, 103-88, with Barok Lasque and Vic Murillo scoring 21 and 15 points, respectively. Tata Lawas led OYAB with 25 markers.

Meanwhile, Quiot-San Roque trounced Yati-San Isidro, 96-89, for its 3rd win in six games, while San Isidro dropped to 2-4 card.
