Work at Senate suspended Monday due to bad weather

MANILA, Philippines–Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile stopped work in the chamber as of 1 p.m. Monday due to bad weather.

All Senate employees were permitted to leave the building except for staff required to attend the afternoon session at 3 p.m.

Enrile opened the session and immediately suspended it so that senators can attend a caucus where the Charter change agenda and Congress’ participation in the Judicial and Bar Council’s search for a new Chief Justice were discussed.
